Missions Fest Vancouver has served the Christian community of Vancouver and the Fraser Valley for 34 years. What began as a small collaborative effort to put on a mission conference between a number of churches in the region, has now grown to be an organization that serves the church community all year long. In fact, we now run the largest annual Christian mission conference in North America. 

Pieces of a Bigger Story

Inspired by Faith in Canada’s Thread of 1000 Stories initiative and in response to the “Our Story” focus, students at Niagara Christian Collegiate were invited to participate in a visual storytelling project. The goal was to create a mosaic of story tiles to represent that each individual plays a role in the NCC story and in God’s larger redemptive narrative.

The communal objective of present day Ramadan is no different than how our early generation of role models perceived it. Ramadan is not just a time to rejoice upon its arrival, dismay upon its departure, lose the rewards eventually, regress to the previous state, and wait for another one year for its return. Instead, Ramadan should be viewed with this broader outlook of community building and welcomed wholeheartedly for what it aspires to establish within us..
