There is seemingly nothing for miles and miles. The only sound that can be heard is the soft water puckering along the sides of the boat. The only clue that there is something beyond is the faint blue smudges of land, barely visible through the mist. For the moment, this is the entire world. Solitude in a vast space can feel sacred. Vancouver-based photographer, Thomas Sanz captured this quiet moment of a blurred horizon in the Georgia Strait of British Columbia, last March.
