As we shift to the end of Holy Week and anticipate the coming of Good Friday and Easter Sunday, we want to leave you with this final Lenten reflection. Lettered in a style new to Convivium, we wanted to provide the opportunity for readers to engage in a new form of meditation as this season of fasting draws to a close.

Join with us as we press into these final days of the fast. May the presence of God be made known to you. May the sacredness of mourning be made evident and the joy of celebration dawn clear this coming Easter morning.

How have you marked the fast this Lenten season?

Too often, we are tempted to push past the discomfort of Good Friday in anticipation of Easter Sunday, forgetting the foil of mourning as a precursor to true gladness. This Good Friday, may we prepare our hearts to sit in sorrow, for without it, the magnitude of our Saviour’s sacrifice and the glory of the resurrection cannot be made known to us.
