The Senate will soon resume debate on a bill that would ban the use of reasonable force by parents and teachers who discipline children in their care. Bill S-206 would do this by repealing Section 43 of the Criminal Code, which protects a parent who swats an ill-behaved child on the bottom from facing criminal charges.
